Togwotee Winter Classic

I am excited to announce a new snow bike race near Jackson, WY on January 19, 2008:

The Togwotee Winter Classic

I expect the 100-mile version will be incredibly hard and the 25-mile version will challenge those who want to experience snow bike racing without the extreme committment of the 100-mile race.

The goals of this non-profit event are to expose more people to snow biking and to have a great time.

Extreme Brotha,

Awesome! Congrats on putting all this together, Joanne and I will be "in" for the 25-mile. Look forward to seeing all the 100-mile crack-heads; that distance, at that elevation, with that much vertical, on snow...wow.

Trying to figure out how to get work off for both the Arrowhead and the Togwotee. Very excited for your race even if I can't make it.

I'm in the same situation as Dave Simmons. I'm not sure I'll have time off work for both. Darn work!! Assuming I finish the Arrowhead in 2008 and there is a 2009 running of the Togwotee, I will make it my top priority for 2009. Thanks for making this happen Dave, I'm also very excited for your race.

Cool, Dave!

9,500 feet of climbing. These lower-48 winter races are the real deal.

I'm giving it some serious thought. Have you decided if you're going to have a registration cutoff? Have you heard from any women interested in the 100-miler?

Thanks for the comments so far!

Jill - I do not forsee having a registration cutoff for the 100-mile since it will be unsupported. You are the first woman to even hint at doing it. :) The 9,500' of climbing number is based on my TOPO software so it could actually be more.
